The 2022 Riyue Tan-Dongjiang Lake Cross-Strait Landscapes Photography Exhibition was launched on July 6. Prizes of as much as 5,000 yuan will be provided to encourage photographers both at home and abroad.

The exhibition is co-hosted by the Dongjiang Lake Scenic Area Management Office and the Nantou County Artists Photography Association. It will last from July 6 to October 15, 2022. Photographers and shutterbugs from Chinese mainland, Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, and overseas are encouraged to present their photography works of the natural and cultural landscapes or industrial development in the two areas.

Photographers, shutterbugs, and visitors from all walks of life are welcomed to Dongjiang Lake in Hunan and Riyue Tan in Taiwan. They are encouraged to show the picturesque sceneries, profound culture and long history, distinctive folk customs, and industrial development in these two areas through their lens, so as to enhance mutual understanding between compatriots on both sides of the Strait, deepen integrated development, and boost cross-Strait communication on culture and tourism.

Hunan's Dongjiang Lake Scenic Area and Taiwan's Riyue Tan knotted a friendship alliance tie in 2015. Over the past years, the two places have consolidated the "tan-lake" connection, promoted bilateral exchanges and cooperation in tourism product development, commodity marketing, and tourism culture, and fueled economic development of both sides.
