According to Denaj, in January-September 2019, FDI in Albania amounted to 810 million euros (around 898.6 million U.S. dollars), reaching the highest historical level of foreign investments for the country.
Denaj said this increase in FDI confirms the government's projections that in 2019 FDI will exceed 1 billion euros in total.
Quoting the statistical data of the Bank of Albania, Denaj said that "In the third quarter of 2019 the FDI increased by 1.3 percent, reaching 272.2 million euros, compared to 268.6 million euros in the third quarter of 2018."
According to the minister, last year in Albania FDI totalled a record 1 billion euros.
