Vice Governor Chen Fei Visits With Foreign Experts in Hunan

The CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and the Hunan Provincial People’s Government have concentrated on epidemic prevention and control, and demonstrated concern about the health and daily life of foreign experts in Hunan. On February 2, Vice Governor Chen Fei, at the request of Governor Xu Dazhe, visited with three foreign experts. Pouya Ebadollahyvahed, an Iranian chief inspector at Wasion Group; Ma Wei, an American CEO at the Changsha Intelligent Driving Institute; and, Stephen George Pooley, an Australian teacher at Central South University met with Vice Governor Chen. The Hunan Department of Science and Technology presented personal protective devices to the experts.

Chen expressed greetings and the good wishes of the Hunan government to the experts, and voiced an appreciation of their contributions to Hunan’s social and economic development especially in the areas of science and technology. He called on to remain confident in the ability of the Communist Party of China, the Chinese government, and the Chinese people, to combat the epidemic, and urged them to take care of themselves. He described the efforts to protect the foreign experts and personnel from the epidemic. Reasonable work and living arrangements are being made to ensure their health and daily life.

The experts thanked the Hunan government and Vice Governor Chen Fei for their concern. They stated their admiration and appreciation of the government’s efforts in preventing and controlling the epidemic, and were convinced that China will win the battle against the virus.
