National Cyberspace Security Industrial Park in Changsha Approved

The Hunan Provincial People’s Government Information Office held a press conference on December 30, 2019. Xiong Chen, chief economist of the Department of Industry and Information Technology announced the National Cyberspace Security Industrial Park (Changsha) was approved recently. Hunan thus become the second of its kind after Beijing.
 
According to the National Cyberspace Security Industrial Park (Changsha) Development Plan, Hunan will further enhance innovation capability in cyberspace security industry; a number of national R & D institutions will be established; a batch of major scientific and technological projects will be transformed for commercialized use; and, a group of high-end talents will be introduced and cultivated. These would help expand and shape the industrial ecology; form a collaborative and innovative networking system for production, study, research, and application; assemble the upstream and downstream enterprises on the industrial chain; and, introduce and establish a batch of national industrial public service platforms.
 
The industrial scale will be expanded significantly. By 2025, the industrial scale of the National Cyberspace Security Industry Park (Changsha) will exceed 100 billion CNY, which will result in: Hunan’s cyber security-related industries scale will exceed 200 billion CNY; leading enterprises’ competitiveness will be significantly enhanced; and, core technology plays a leading role in the national network security industry pattern. These will contribute to building China as a network powerhouse.
 
The exhibition will open to the public free of charge till February 9, 2020.
