Train X8120, Hunan's first China-Europe freight train during the Chinese New Year, pulled out of the Changsha North Railway Station at 23:15 on January 29, 2025.

During this Spring Festival holiday, a hustle-and-bustle scene is seen at the Changsha North Railway Station.

Facing rising temporary passenger flow and high-frequency train operations during the Spring Festival travel rush, we have to keep track of real-time train operations on site to ensure safe and punctual loading and departure of the China-Europe freight trains, said an on-duty staff of the railway station.

Between January 1 and 30, a total of 36 China-Europe freight trains departed from Changsha, transporting 3,960 TEUs of goods worth 190 billion USD. A vigorous momentum with accelerated pace is seen for the Chinese New Year.
