Several places across Hunan Province recently greeted the first snowfall of this winter, triggered by a sudden drop of air temperature caused by a cold wave. A large number of skiing amateurs were seen at the recently-opened Ziquejie Outdoor Ski Resort in Hunan.

The Ziquejie Outdoor Ski Resort is located in Fengjia Town, Xinhua County, Loudi City, adjacent to the Ziquejie Terraced Fields, a globally-important agricultural cultural heritage and a world heritage of irrigation engineering, with an altitude of 1,200 meters. The resort covers an area of 100,000 square meters, with a snow-making area of more than 50,000 square meters. The project contains two primary, one intermediate, and one practice slopes, and a snow fun park covering 10,000 square meters. The entire snow world has a maximum capacity of 4,000 visitors.
