The Hunan Museum made an announcement on extending its opening hours during the Spring Festival period on January 7, 2025.

The museum will be open from January 30 to February 4 during the Spring Festival holiday, extending opening hours to 20:00 (last entry at 19:00) every day. It will be closed on January 27, 28, and 29, with the original closing day of February 3 postponed to February 5.

The museum will add a reservation slot from 17:00 to 19:00 between January 30 and February 4, to accommodate an additional 5,000 individual visitors daily. The museum only accepts real-name online reservation. All visitors (including those with preferential policies) can make a reservation seven days in advance (excluding the reservation day) via the museum's official WeChat account and Alipay mini-program. Once the reservation is successfully made, visitors can enter the museum by presenting their reservation records along with valid identification documents.
