Hunan Pilot Free Trade Zone Changsha Area Has 6,616 Newly-registered Enterprises in First 10 Months

The Hunan Pilot Free Trade Zone Changsha Area held a monthly work scheduling meeting on December 1. Qiu Jixing, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Changsha Municipal Committee and secretary of the CPC Working Committee of the Hunan Pilot Free Trade Zone Changsha Area, attended. From January to October 2022, there were 6,616 newly-registered enterprises in the Hunan Pilot Free Trade Zone Changsha Area, up 73.1 % year on year. Qiu Jixing underscored efforts to continue bold experiments and breakthroughs and independent trial reforms, and strive to be a vanguard of the province's pilot free trade zone construction and a pioneer of national innovative development.

Since 2022, the Hunan Pilot Free Trade Zone Changsha Area has made solid efforts to innovate and forged ahead determinedly. Remarkable progress has been made in the area's construction and development. In the first 10 months, the area's total import and export volume reached 110.68 billion yuan, up 44.9%, accounting for 40.3% of the whole city. The actual use of foreign capital hit 187 million US dollars, an increase of 22.6%. The number of newly-registered enterprises rose by 73.1% to 6,616. The number of institutional innovations that were included in the China Pilot Free Trade Zone Development Report (2022) ranked first among free trade zone areas of its kind. The report was released by the Chinese Academy of International Trade and Economic Cooperation (CAITEC) under the Ministry of Commerce.
