Governor Mao Inspects Changde-Yiyang-Changsha High-speed Railway Construction

Mao Weiming, deputy secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and governor of the People's Government of Hunan Province, visited Changde City on the morning of November 29, 2022. He came to inspect construction progress of the Changde-Yiyang-Changsha High-speed Railway. It is necessary to thoroughly implement the spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress and President Xi Jinping's important exposition on transportation, he stated, adding that local governments and railway authorities should work hand in hand to ensure that the railway is open to traffic up to standard, in accordance with the law, and with high quality. Upon its opening, the whole province will be linked by high-speed rails.


Provincial leaders Li Dianxun and Li Jianzhong, and provincial secretary general Deng Qunce, attended.

The Changde-Yiyang-Changsha High-speed Railway starts from the Changde Station and ends at the Changsha West Railway Station of the Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan Intercity Railway. The total length of the main line is about 157.5 kilometers, with a design speed of 350 kilometers per hour. There will be 5 passenger terminals; namely, Changde, Hanshou, Yiyang, Ningxiang, and Changsha West Railway stations. The Yiyang-Changsha section officially started operation on September 6 this year, and the full line was scheduled to open for operation by the end of this December.
