The "Hunan Meets Africa" 2022 China (Hunan) Health Industry Promotion and Matchmaking Conference kicked off in Changsha on November 18. More than 130 companies from over 20 African countries and more than 150 Chinese enterprises participated in the meeting. The projects with a contract value exceeding 45 million US dollars have been signed on site.

African countries such as South Africa, Egypt, and Nigeria introduced the development of their major health industries. They encouraged Chinese investors to invest in Africa to transform the cooperation potential into practical results. Representatives of Arshine Group, Sinocare, Beyond Medical Technology, Techray Medical, and other companies gave presentations in turn. They signed key projects in the health industry with Nigeria, South Africa, Egypt, Côte D'Ivoire, Kenya, and other African countries. Among them, the contract value of Arshine Group's project reached 30 million US dollars.

An online negotiation area was set up for the matchmaking conference. Chinese and African enterprises conducted more than 150 rounds of online consultations on project demands, market conditions, product supply, and collaboration willingness of the China-Africa health industrial development.

The conference is one of the serial activities of the China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo (CAETE). It aimed to promote economic and trade between China and Africa during the intersessional year, implement the "Nine Programs" for China-Africa cooperation, and pragmatically promote in-depth partnership between China and Africa in health industries. CAETE is held every two years and has been held for two sessions. The third session is scheduled to be held in Changsha in June 2023.
