Hunan’s equipment manufacturing industry forges ahead at high quality, showing a notably increasing driving force for export. The Changsha Customs data shows that, between January and October, the export value of Hunan’s equipment manufacturing amounted to 60.14 billion yuan, increasing by 30.8% over last year.

In the first 10 months, Hunan's equipment manufacturing export to the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) member countries, U.S.A, and 27 European Union countries (excluding UK) showed an obvious growth. The exports to EU rose by 61.7% year on year. 

Mechanical and electronical products were the majority in equipment manufacturing exports. Regionally, Changsha took the lead in this sector. In the first 10 months, Changsha's export value of equipment manufacturing products totaled 29.55 billion yuan, nearly half of the total export. Chenzhou made a 169.9% leap in this data, while Yueyang and Zhuzhou up about 80% year on year.

The Changsha Customs analyzed that, Hunan has been striving to build a national hub of advanced manufacturing industry, which played a major role in the growth of equipment manufacturing export. For example, Sunward sold its products to more than 100 countries and regions, and has collaborated with more than 180 agents to establish its marketing and service network and accessory warehouses all over the world. Zoomlion's ZCC9800W crawler crane has accomplished its hoisting tasks in the wind power project of the Cypress Semiconductor Corp. in Turkey, which was widely recognized.
