Hunan Library to Mark 2021 World Book Day

The Hunan Library will hold various activities to celebrate the centenary of the Communist Party of China, and to observe the 26th World Book Day, which falls on April 23.

The events are as follows:

1. Call for Entries for Mobile Phone Photography
Duration: April 13-20
Activities:
-take photos about reading scenes with mobile phones;
-submit the photos to the mailbox at hntsghd@163.com; and,
-excellent photos to be exhibited at the Hunan Library.

2. Reading Scene Photo Collection Display
Duration: April 22-28
Venue: exhibition hall on the first floor of Hunan Library
Activities: exhibit excellent photos collected online and other classic reading images

3. Launching Ceremony of 2021 Hunan Library World Book Day Events and Red or Revolutionary Stories Telling Contest
Date: April 23
Venue: multimedia demonstration hall on the first floor of Hunan Library
Activities:
-issue 2020 Hunan Library Reading Report;
-issue revolution-themed booklist to celebrate the centenary of the Communist Party of China; and,
-announce the start of Red or Revolutionary Stories Telling Contest.

4. Cultural and Creative Flash Mob
Duration: April 23-24
Venue: Knowledge Square, Hunan Library
Activities: many brands from inside and outside of Hunan Province will be invited to join in a two-day cultural and creative flash mob, to observe the traditional cultural customs of “drying books under the sun” in a modern way.
