On November 19, the 2020 China New Media Conference opened in Changsha.

On November 19, the 2020 China New Media Conference opened in Changsha. Xu Lin, CPC Central Committee Publicity Department vice minister and State Council Information Office director, attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech.

Liu Zhengrong, All-China Journalists Association (ACJA) CPC Leadership Group secretary, and Zhang Hongsen, CPC Hunan Provincial Standing Committee member and CPC Hunan Provincial Committee Publicity Department director, delivered speeches. Wu Guiying, Hunan vice governor, presided over the opening ceremony. Wu Tianmin, PLA News Media Center deputy director; Peng Bo, Office of the Central Cyberspace Affairs Commission former deputy director; and, Zhou Xisheng, Xinhua News Agency former deputy director, attended.

The China New Media Conference is an iconic, authoritative and professional industry event in China's new media field. It was co-sponsored by the ACJA and the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee Publicity Department. Themed “concentration, innovation, and integration”, it further explored the promotion of the healthy and orderly development of the new media industry and promoted the new media to play a better role in the modernization of national governance.

The brand conferring ceremony for the Chinese Internet Literature Town was also held.
