Hunan Donates Epidemic Prevention Supplies to Oudomxay, Laos

Hunan donated a batch of epidemic prevention supplies to Oudomxay Province of Laos on October 19, to assist local fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

Hunan and Oudomxay established friendly-province ties in 2017. Since then, the two provinces have maintained frequent contacts, and conducted close cooperation in such sectors as culture, tourism, economy and trade, investment, science and technology, and education. When the COVID-19 epidemic broke out in China, Oudomxay government expressed concerns and supports to Hunan. Hunan’s donations this time include disposable medical masks, N95 masks, COVID-19 detectors and testing kits, mobile X-ray machines, heart rate monitors, medical protective suits, and digital blood pressure gauges. 

The spokesperson of the Foreign Affairs Office of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee remarked that, Hunan is willing to stand with Oudomxay to implement the plan of working together for a community of shared future agreed by Chinese and Lao governments. Hunan and Oudomxay will enhance economic and trade, and cultural exchanges; deepen cooperation in various fields; and, strengthen regular epidemic prevention and control measures, so as to mutually assist in the resumption of economic and social development, and establishing the community of shared future.
