Chen Fei, Hunan vice governor, Xie Weijiang, Hunan Provincial People’s Government CPC Leadership Group member, and Wang Qun, Hunan Provincial People’s Government secretary-general, joined the meeting.
Governor Xu said that in recent years, Hunan has implemented the innovation-oriented opening-up strategy; promoted in-depth informatization and industrialization integration; accelerated digital economy’s development; and focused on cultivating advantageous industrial clusters such as construction machinery, rail transit, and aviation power, to boost the manufacturing industry and the real economy. Since the beginning of this year, Hunan Province, facing the severe impact of the epidemic and flood conditions, and under the strong leadership of the CPC Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping as the core, has been united to fight and delivered satisfactory answers in the examination of epidemic prevention & control, and flood prevention & relief. The provincial economic and social development showed a stable and positive trend.
HE is the earliest research and development base of power generation equipment in China and an important backbone enterprise managed by the central government. Governor Xu expected the group to give full play to its advantages; continue to improve its strategic layout in Hunan; further in-depth exchange and cooperation with Hunan in wind power resource development, equipment manufacturing, technology research and development, etc.; promote key core technology research in important fields; and, help Hunan to be built into an important national advanced manufacturing industry highland. Hunan will increase efforts to attract and cultivate talents, provide service guarantees and create a good environment for cooperation between the two parties, he added.
Chairman Si remarked that HE has full confidence in the corporation’s development in Hunan and will step up communication and contacts. It will strive to sign a comprehensive strategic cooperation agreement as soon as possible, to promote projects’ implementation and achieve win-win cooperation and long-term development between both sides.
