The 2020 Hunan Red Tourism Cultural Festival and the first Xiangtan Red Culture Industrial Expo will kick off in Shaoshan City on July 25. It was announced at a press conference held in Changsha on July 2. Themed “Hometown of Great Man, Beautiful Xiangtan, and Red Shaoshan”, the festival will include two main activities and six serial activities.

On the morning of July 25, the opening ceremony of the 2020 Hunan Red Tourism Cultural Festival and the first Xiangtan Red Culture Industrial Expo will be held at Mao Zedong Bronze Statue Square in Shaoshan City. Themed “Promoting Red Culture and Boosting Cultural Tourism”, the expo will last till July 26. It will set up three major sections: warm-up area, scenic spot-based exhibition area, and red tourism-themed online shopping experience area. The expo aims to fully display the new progress of red cultural industry and promote smart and new technologies in the aspect of red cultural tourism.

The 6 series activities will include:
-Xiangtan Industrial Project Investment Presentation and Signing Ceremony;
-Red Tourism Tour Guide Forum and Red (revolutionary-related) Training Seminar;
-Internet + Red Cultural Tourism New Technology Promotion and Application Conference;
-National Intangible Cultural Heritage Folk Song Invitational Tournament;
-Red Dance Invitational Tournament, and;
-The Event of "Retracing the Route of the Long March in the border areas of Hunan and Jiangxi Provinces".

The Hunan Red Tourism Cultural Festival has been successfully held 16 times since 2004, and has become a well-known brand in Hunan. The event is sponsored by the Publicity Department of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee, Hunan Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, and the CPC Xiangtan Municipal Committee and the Xiangtan Municipal People’s Government. It was undertaken by the Publicity Department of the CPC Xiangtan Municipal Committee, the Culture, Tourism, Radio and Sports Bureau of Xiangtan City, and the CPC Shaoshan Municipal Committee and the Shaoshan Municipal People’s Government. It was organized by Shaoshan Administration , and Shaoshan Tourism Development Group Co., Ltd.
