On the morning of January 23, 2020, Xu Dazhe, Hunan governor, presided over the second session of the leadership group for prevention and control of pneumonia caused by the novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV), at Hunan Provincial Center for Disease Prevention and Control.

Vice Governor Wu Guiying, and Secretary General Wang Qun, attended.

Before the meeting, Governor Xu visited the Emergency Response Office, Epidemic Prevention and Control Command, and Microbiology Testing Laboratory in the center.
