The Hunan Provincial Logistics and Purchasing Association released a work report on January 13, 2020. It said that in 2019 the total value of social logistics goods in Hunan increased steadily and various logistics operation indicators have continued to improve.

In 2019, the total value was more than 11.8 trillion CNY, an increase of 7.5%. The total social logistics cost was 599.59 billion CNY, an increase of 8.0%. The total revenue of the logistics industry was 385.53 billion CNY, an increase of 7.3%. The ratio between the total social logistics cost and GDP was 15.1%, a decrease of 0.1 percentage point from the previous year.

According to the report, as of the end of 2019, the number of A-level logistics enterprises in Hunan reached 223, of which 15 were 5A, 109 were 4A, 92 were 3A, and 7 were 2A. Yin Guojie, president of Hunan Logistics and Purchasing Association, said that the total logistics volume of these 223 Hunan A-level logistics enterprises has accounted for more than half of the total logistics volume of the province. The development of the logistics industry in Hunan is moving towards professionalization, intellectualization and scaled development.
