The photo, taken on December 3, 2019, show Huayao people processing honeysuckle in Xiaoshajiang Town, Longhui County. Longhui’s honeysuckle accounts for 60% of the country’s total production. The county has an annual output of about 10,000 tonnes of dried flowers, making it one of the six major traditional Chinese medicine producers. At present, an industrial chain integrating honeysuckle seedling cultivation, planting, processing, and marketing has been formed. The honeysuckle industry has helped locals increase income. This year, 200,000 mu (13,333 ha.) of honeysuckle in the alpine mountainous area in the north of the county enjoyed a bumper harvest. (Photo/Xu Xing, Hunan Daily)
