Sino-German Academic Exchange Meeting of Artificial Intelligence Held in Changsha

The 1st Xiangzhi Forum and Sino-German Academic Exchange Meeting of Artificial Intelligence was held in Changsha on December 2. Changsha Vice Mayor Qiu Jixing attended and delivered a speech.


The academic exchange meeting was guided by the Hunan Xiangjiang New Area Administrative Committee; and hosted by the People’s Government of Yuelu District and the Country Garden Group. More than 60 domestic and foreign AI experts and outstanding entrepreneurs participated.


Experts including Hans Uszkoreit, academician of the European Academy of Sciences and co-founder of the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI), Peter Gentsch, professor of the Technical and Economic University of Applied Sciences in Aalen, and Wang Yong, doctoral supervisor and director of the Department of Artificial Intelligence of Central South University, delivered keynote speeches and had in-depth exchanges.


Vice Mayor Qiu Jixing said that, in recent years, Changsha has worked closely with Germany and achieved remarkable results. It has vigorously developed the internet and intelligent industry, and built a good industrial foundation. At present, Changsha is building the Xiangjiang Zhigu Artificial Intelligence Science and Technology Town into an internationally influential artificial intelligence innovation cradle, a demonstration zone, and a talent center to boost high-quality economic development. Changsha will make great efforts to initiate creative industrial policies and improve its business environment, industrial layout, and industrial ecology. Experts, enterprises, and talents from home and abroad are welcome to invest and develop in Changsha, to promote more achievements in Sino-German cooperation.
