The photo, taken on November 23, shows a Tujia art troupe perform during the 2019 Tujia Sheba Festival in Yongshun County. The Tujia people from border areas of Hunan, Hubei, Chongqing, and Guizhou gathered in Laosicheng, a world cultural heritage site, and performed songs and dances to celebrate the festival. A variety of activities were held to present folk culture, including folk song contest, traditional drama performances, and baishou (hand-waving) dance competition. The festival helps strengthen protection and inheritance of Tujia and Miao cultures in the Wuling Mountain area, and promote deep integration of culture and tourism.
