On the morning of October 9, Hunan Governor Xu Dazhe presided over a symposium on the development of Hunan small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). He asked for implementing Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era; adhering to the new development ideas; and targeting key problems in promoting SMEs development, so as to bring strong momentum into the province's high-quality development.
Provincial leaders Xie Jianhui and Chen Fei, and Secretary General Wang Qun attended.
Twelve SMEs leaders, including Chang Yingxiang, Zhang Youjun, Su Lifeng, Liu Guoliang, Pan Wenjian, Fang Hong, He Liang, Wang Xiaomin, Yang Guoxiu, Li Wanxiao, Yang Feng, and Tu Jian, addressed the meeting.
Governor Xu said that Hunan has many advantages:
-“One Belt and One Zone” (a favorable location on the transitional “belt” connecting the eastern coastal area with the central and western areas, and in the junction “zone” between the Yangtze River Economic Belt and the Coastal Economic Belt);
-basically-established comprehensive three-dimensional transportation system;
-sound and stable economic progress; and,
-prominent enterprise growth.
Cultivating and developing strong ‘Little Giant’ enterprises is an important measure to build a modern economic system, revitalize the real economy, and promote high-quality development. He expected the majority of SMEs to combine their own advancement with the realization of Chinese dream and the building of an attractive and prosperous Hunan with a promising future. They should stick to self-reliance and integrity; and law-abiding management, work hard to establish national and even global brands, he added.
