Hunan Introduces 108 Projects from Top 500 Enterprises in First Three Quarters

Hunan attracted an actual investment of about 622.4 billion CNY in the first three quarters of this year, a year-on-year increase of 18.1%, according to the data released by the Department of Commerce of Hunan Province on October 22, 2019. There were 184 newly-established foreign-invested enterprises and 77 newly-introduced enterprises of Fortune 500, China Top 500, and China Private 500, bringing in 108 investment projects worth of 215.6 billion CNY.

Hong Kong remained Hunan's largest source of foreign capital. Hunan’s actual use of investment from Hong Kong accounted for 73.2% of the provincial total, an increase of 15.9%. The growth rates of the investment from the Netherlands and the Cayman Islands were growing significantly, reaching 139.6% and 84% respectively. The “Belt and Road” countries (regions) continued to invest in Hunan.

In terms of domestic capital, the actual paid-in domestic capital from the Pan-Pearl River Delta Region was over 287.8 billion CNY, a year-on-year increase of 17.1% and accounting for 54.4% of the provincial total. The growth of domestic capital from Hainan, Sichuan, and Yunnan ranked among the top three.

The actual paid-in capital from Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao reached more than 282 billion CNY, accounting for 45.3% of the provincial total, an increase of 16.1% year on year.
