Hunan Mobile Internet Industry Revenue Hits 63.8 Bln CNY in H1

The operating revenue of Hunan’s mobile Internet industry was 63.8 billion CNY in the first half of this year, a year-on-year increase of 22.6%, released by the Industry and Information Technology Department of Hunan Province on July 22, 2019. The department recently also announced a “Report on Hunan’s Mobile Internet Industry Development in First Half of 2019”. The report showed that the provincial mobile Internet industry has kept a rapid growth; the superior areas and key enterprises maintained good development momentum; and, the projects introduction in major industrial park kept increasing.
The report pointed out smart city construction would bring new opportunity for Hunan’s mobile Internet industry development. It has not only introduced well-known enterprises such as iSoftStone and 58 Group, but also assisted local enterprises to grow in the sectors of e-government, intelligent transportation, smart education, digital city management, and people's livelihood services. For example, the revenue of UMEOX in the first half of the year has a 41.2% year-on-year increase. The Changsha Willfar Information Technology is expected to achieve a revenue of 630 million CNY in tH1, a year-on-year increase of 25%. The information consumer industry such as smart tourism and smart hotels witnessed active progress.
Hunan’s mobile Internet industry has huge industrial digital development space, and a sound momentum for projects introduction in key industrial parks. By the end of this June, there were 239 certificated enterprises that had signed contracts with consulting service agencies; and, 215 enterprises started informatization and industrialization certification application. The key projects such as the Green Apple Data Center and Hunan general operation have also signed contracts.
