On April 20, Hunan Xiangjiang New Area held a ceremony for centralized commencement of major projects to implement the strategy of strengthening the provincial capital. A total of 153 projects, with a total investment of 54.8 billion yuan, were launched. Among them, 20 projects in Yuelu District were launched at the Top-Link R&D and Production Base in Yuelu High-tech Zone, setting off a project construction boom.

Tan Yong, Standing Committee member of the CPC Changsha Municipal Committee, CPC Working Committee deputy secretary and Management Committee director of the Hunan Xiangjiang New Area, announced the commencement of projects. Changsha Vice Mayor Kang Zhenlin was present.

Yuelu District has designated 2022 as the year of accelerating the development of industrial projects, and adhered to the concept of “prioritizing project construction”. It has rolled out 611 construction projects with an annual investment of 95.599 billion yuan. This will lay a solid foundation for steady regional economic progress.

The 20 projects in Yuelu District, covering industrial development, social livelihood, infrastructure and other aspects, have the characteristics of large volume, solid investment, excellent structure, and strong driving force. Among them, the Top-Link R&D and Production Base project construction mainly includes a R&D and production base for high-speed network communication connectors, intelligent hardware components and finished products, and a product testing laboratory. Upon completion, the project will become the most important R&D and manufacturing base of Shenzhen Top-Link Electronics Co., Ltd. It is estimated that the operating revenue will be about 1.5 billion yuan, the annual profits and taxes will be about 230 million yuan, and about 1,000 jobs will be provided. This will bring good economic and social benefits to the local society. 

In 2022, Hunan Xiangjiang New Area rolls out 730 major projects with an annual planned investment of 162.806 billion yuan. The investment accomplished in the first quarter is 54.236 billion yuan, accounting for 33.31% of the annual plan. In addition, the area signed 9 major industrial projects at a ceremony for centralized commencement and contract signing of major projects held on April 19. The projects involved such fields as high-tech industries, infrastructure, and major platforms.
