On June 17, the Changsha Huanghua Comprehensive Bonded Zone Phase Ⅱ successfully passed field inspection and comprehensive review by a joint acceptance team. The "Changsha Huanghua Comprehensive Bonded Zone (Phase II) Acceptance Summary" was signed.

The Changsha Huanghua Comprehensive Bonded Zone (Phase Ⅱ) has a construction area of 0.5819 square kilometers. Its main function areas include bonded processing service and bonded warehouse logistics. It is planned to build 14 standard factory buildings and standard warehouses with an area of over 520,000 square meters. A new hoarding wall of 6,725 meters long and a special customs patrol road of 6,773 meters long will be built. An east checkpoint with 11 vehicle passages and 2 pedestrian passages will be built.

This time the east checkpoint is a main construction project that was scheduled to accept the acceptance check. It is also an important infrastructure project for the interconnected development of Changsha Huanghua Comprehensive Bonded Zone and Changsha Huanghua International Airport and for the “bonded zone-port linkage” reform of Hunan Pilot Free Trade Zone. After the “bonded zone-port linkage” project put into operation, Changsha Huanghua Comprehensive Bonded Zone will increase its customs clearance efficiency to more than 30%, and enterprises will save 50% of logistics cost. This will help enhance the bonded zone’s customs clearance capacity.

Changsha Huanghua Comprehensive Bonded Zone is the only airport comprehensive bonded zone in Hunan and it is a core platform for the development of an export-oriented economy in the Changsha area of Hunan Pilot Free Trade Zone. It was established on May 31, 2016 with the approval of the State Council. Its first phase was put into service on June 25, 2017.

At present, the bonded zone has industrial clusters featuring high-end seafood import, electronic information processing trade, and cross-border e-commerce. There are more than 900 market entities. As of the end of May this year, the total volume of imports and exports has reached nearly 20 billion USD.
