The 5th "Xiaoxiang Friendship Award" Winners: Mr Donald Wallace Pereira

Mr Donald Wallace Pereira, Australian, educationalist, Foreign Language teacher at Central South University, recipient of the Hunan provincial "Lotus Award", candidate of the National "Friendship Award".

Don has guided his students in writing, producing and performing a play in English based on a traditional Chinese story. He was the co-editor and contributing author of a text book. He has judged English speech competitions and directed plays performed by English major students.

He helped with students to study English, and assisted in strengthening the ties between Monash University in Melbourne (Australia) and Central South University, thereby promoting Sino-Australian friendship.
