What happens every minute in Hunan?
- 11.42 tons of coal production capacity eliminated;
- 6.6 rural people get safe drinking water;
- 558 square meters of efficient water-saving irrigation area are added;
- 12.22 square meters of livestock and poultry cultivation areas are removed from the lake area and large reservoir catchment area;
- 43.76 meters of Dongting Lake ditches are dredged;
- 8.32 square meters of green space are added in Changsha, making the city more livable;
- 6.67 tons of carbon dioxide emission reduced through using a CRRC electric new energy bus;
- 2,900 square meters of soil and water loss area treated, protecting a green future;
- Xiangjiang River Basin COD emissions are decreased by 0.22 tons, to protect the river;
- 13.9 tons of the Loudi. Tin Ore Mine waste are comprehensively managed ; and
Hunan becomes more green and ecologically friendly.
13 cities and 1 prefecture achieve excellent air quality rate 85.4% of the time.
The forest coverage rate is 59.8%, and the wetland protection rate 75.7%.
The one lake and four river tributaries of Hunan are becoming green.
