Schedule for Orange Isle Fireworks Show 2017

The Orange Isle fireworks show displayed on weekends is one of must-sees in Changsha. The Changsha government on June 12 announced that, the July 1st firework shows on Orange Isle will be staged one day early, from 20:30 to 20:50 on June 30. Thus, the latest firework shows schedule for 2017 is:

Jan. 1 (New Year Day), Jan. 27 (Spring Festival eve)

Feb. 11 (Lantern Festival)

May 1 (International Labor Day), May 30 (Dragon Boat Festival)

June 30

Aug. 1 (Army Day)

Oct. 1 (National Day), Oct. 4 (Middle-autumn Day)

Only four firework shows left in the rest of 2017! You must not miss them! 

1. The Orange Isle Scenic Area is closed before 18:00 on every scheduled fireworks show day to ensure visitors’ safety. Visitors are required to leave the scenic area before that time.

2. Changsha Subway Line 2 does not stop at Juzizhou (Orange Isle) Station since 18:00 on the day for the fireworks show.


Best places for viewing:
Du Fu Pavilion and its surroundings, Siyangfangzun (four sheep statue) Square, Fengfan (sail) Square, and the observation deck on the top of Yuelu Mountain


The best way to get there:
Take Changsha Subway Line 2 to Xiangjiang Middle Road Station, and then walk to Du Fu Pavilion
