It was learned from Zixing city, the Board of Asian Development Bank approved Hunan Chenzhou Dongjiang Lake Ecological Protection and Comprehensive Utilization project. It will offer USD130million for the project.

It was introduced that the key contents for the projects are pollution sources remediation, treatment of rivers for towns and counties water supply of and rivers inflowing into the lake in surrounding areas of Dongjiang Lake, upgrading of Dongjiang Lake’s capacity of ecological recovery, environment supervision and ecological protection, and improvement of institutions and capacities, and etc.

The project will be helpful for the protection of Dongjiang Lake’s ecological environment and safety of Hunan province’s water resources strategy.
