Hunan’s No 1 Proposal Focuses on Urban and Rural Development
Members of the tenth CPPCC Hunan Committee went with full confidence to attend the committee’s third session in Changsha on Jan. 23.
At the third session of the tenth CPPCC Hunan Committee, the proposal submitted by the China Democratic League Hunan Provincial Committee was recognized as the No.1 proposal of the session. The title of the proposal is “Establishing a long-term mechanism for and steadily pushing forward the coordinated development of rural and urban areas”。 Zhang Chunxian, director of the Standing Committee of the Hunan Provincial People’s Congress made an instruction and highly praised the proposal’s focus on the coordinated development of urban and rural areas.
In the instruction, Zhang noted that how to coordinate the development of urban and rural areas is an important topic concerning the social and economic development of the province. It’s also the inevitable request for the transformation of economic development patterns and the economic restructuring. The proposal, on the basis of in-depth field investigations conducted by the China Democratic League Hunan Provincial Committee, made an objective analysis of some issues regarding the improvement of mechanisms and systems, government policies, measures and fund input. Zhang remarked that it is a high quality proposal and suggested the Hunan Provincial Government should adopt it after serious-minded studies.
