After hearing the deputies’ opinions and suggestions, Governor Zhou noted that, in order to play a leading role in promoting the fast and sound social and economic developments, Changsha should give full play to its central status as the capital city of the province. Good work must be done in such sectors as economic restructuring, transforming the development patterns, speeding up the advanced manufacturing industry, strategic emerging industries and the modern service industry, pushing forward the coordinated development in urban and rural areas and advancing the construction of “Two-Oriented” Society, etc. In addition, more emphasis should be placed on the acceleration of restructuring and the transformation of development patterns to enhance the overall competitivenesse of Changsha and even the province.
