17th “Chinese Bridge” “Cross the Bridge” Competition Successfully Concludes

 
On July 8, 2018, the speech contest and talent show of the “Cross the Bridge” Competition for the American, Oceanian, and African group contestants, part of the 17th “Chinese Bridge” Foreign College Student Chinese Proficiency Competition, were held at the Hunan Mass Media Vocational and Technical College. 
 

The “Cross the Bridge” Competition consists of four parts: 
1. Chinese written exam (20% of the total score);
2. Speech contest (30% of the total score);
3. Judges’ interview (20% of the total score); and,
4. Talent show (30% of the total score).
The Chinese speech contest requires the contestants to make a 90-second speech on the theme of “One World, One Family”.

The challenging Q&A session assessed participants’ knowledge on China’s history, geography and culture.


As for the talent show part, they presented Tai Chi, cross talk, painting, dancing, martial arts, reading, singing, and other talents performances. Their wonderful performances won rounds of applause from the audience.
