Hunan-Brazil Commodity Procurement Matchmaking Held in Shanghai

A Hunan-Brazil commodity procurement matchmaking event was held in Shanghai on November 7, 2018. A dozen Hunan enterprises reached cooperation intention with Brazilian counterparts, valuing 23.58 million USD. 
 
The Hunan enterprises include Better Life Group, Dolton Department Store, Gaoqiao Grand Market, and some supply chain companies, such as Haotong Supply Chain Management (Hunan) Co., Ltd. Nearly 70 Brazilian companies found their partners at the event. 
 
The Brazilian merchants were impressed by Hunan’s opening up and rapid development. A Brazilian beverage producer reached cooperation intention with two Hunan companies, and planned an observation tour to Hunan. A large meat producer and exporter in Sao Paulo expressed its great interests in collaborating with Hunan. 
 
Deputy Director of the Hunan Department of Commerce Zhou Yue marked that, Hunan-Brazil trade keeps a good momentum of development. At the beginning of this year, Hunan started to take Brazil as a key partner in Latin America, and established cooperative ties with the Sao Paulo Investment Promoting Agency, and the Sao Paulo State Industrial Federation. Between this January and September, the imports and exports between Hunan and Brazil totaled 870 million USD, a year-on-year increase of 53%. The exports was 260 million USD, increasing by 55%; and, imports was 610 million USD, increasing by 52%.
