Governor Xu Welcomes Enterprises Worldwide to Invest and Develop in Hunan

Hunan Governor Xu Dazhe attended the opening ceremony of the China International Import Expo (CIIE) in Shanghai on November 5, 2018. He visited global well-known enterprise pavilions, including Johnson Controls, Nokia, Boeing, and KUKA.
 
Governor Xu said, “Hunan is implementing innovation-oriented opening up and development strategy; accelerating construction of ‘a province of five powers’ (powerful in economy, science and education, culture, ecology, and opening up), and build Hunan an inland innovation and opening up highland with high quality progress.” He continued, “Hunan has enhanced opening up to the outside world, providing a wide range of business opportunities. It is active in innovation, and has a good developing momentum and excellent business environment. The province has established advantageous industries in engineering machinery, advanced rail transit equipment, aerospace equipment, new materials, automobile manufacturing, biomedicine, and cultural creativity.” He added, “Last year, the provincial regional GDP was 3.39 trillion CNY, an increase of 8%. In the first three quarters of this year, it maintained a steady growth rate of 7.8%.”
 
He expected that Hunan would speed up cooperation with the world advanced enterprises. More efforts will be put to introduce more leading enterprises into Hunan. Hunan would continue to provide sound environment for those enterprises to invest in, settle down, and expand in Hunan.
 
Xu Dazhe sincerely welcomed famous global enterprises such as Johnson Controls to invest in Hunan, to share and achieve mutual benefits and win-win results.
 
Vice Governor He Baoxiang also participated in the event.
