Governor Xu Dazhe Visits Romania

Hunan Governor Xu Dazhe led a delegation to visit Romania between July 7 and 10, 2017 (Romania local time). He met with Romanian Vice Prime Minister Grațiela-Leocadia GAVRILESCU and other government officials; inspected the local economic and social development, and enterprises; and attended Hunan-Romania exchange activities, to promote Hunan’s participation in the “Belt and Road” initiative construction and accelerate its opening up.

On July 8, Governor Xu met in Bucharest with Bistriţa-Năsăud Governor and his entourage. They signed a memorandum of cooperation. Xu then attended the Hunan- Bistriţa friendly exchanges and high-tech enterprises matchmaking conference.

On July 9, Governor Xu visited Brasov to meet with its governor and parliament vice president. The two sides signed a letter of intent on provincial friendship.

On July 10, the 2017 Hunan-Romania Economic and Trade Forum and B2B Matchmaking Conference were held in Brasov. Governor Xu addressed the conference and was awarded honor for outstanding contribution to bilateral friendly relations.

During his stay, Governor Xu also visited the Chinese ambassador to Romania and inspected a food processing giant in Romania, who is seeking cooperation with the Hunan New Wu Feng Group. Relevant government department heads accompanied him on the tour.
