Deputy Secretary Wu Lan Meets with Polish Minister Marek Suski
Wu Lan, CPC Hunan Provincial Committee deputy secretary, met in Changsha with Marek Suski, Polish Prime Minister's Political Cabinet head, and his entourage on November 7, 2018. The delegation came to China to attend the 1st China International Import Expo (CIIE) and the 3rd “Polish Circles of Arts in China” Hunan Stop opening ceremony.
Deputy Secretary Wu, on behalf of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and the People’s Government of Hunan Province, welcomed the guests. She said, “The Chinese and Polish people has long-term traditional friendship. In recent years, Hunan and Poland have continued advanced cooperation thanks to the in-depth development of China-Poland comprehensive strategic partnership.” She continued, “At present, Hunan is implementing innovation-oriented opening up and development strategy; accelerating ‘a province of five powers’ construction (powerful in economy, science and education, culture, ecology, and opening up); and, building Hunan an inland innovation and opening up highland with high quality progress.” The two sides have broader space for cooperation. Hunan is willing to, under the ‘Belt and Road’ initiative and “16+1” collaboration framework (China’s cooperation with 16 countries in Central and Eastern Europe), further strengthen personnel exchanges, deepen mutually beneficial cooperation, and promote the in-depth development of exchanges and cooperation in trade, culture, tourism and other fields, she added.
Marek Suski noted that Poland and Hunan have close friendly exchanges and potential for cooperation. He promised that Poland would continue to promote business and trade with Hunan and further promote cooperation and exchanges in such aspects as culture, education, and tourism.
