First Hunan Blockchain Industrial Park Opens in Changsha
On the morning of August 26, the signing ceremony for the Blockchain Academician Summit Forum and the Xingsha Blockchain Industrial Park Project [XBIPP] was held in Changsha. It was jointly held by Changsha Economic Development Zone and Changsha County. Ten blockchain enterprises joined the Xingsha Blockchain Industrial Park marking the official opening of the first blockchain industrial park in Hunan.
As the first blockchain industrial park in central China, XBIPP signed the contract with 10 enterprises coming primarily from Beijing, Shenzhen, and Hunan, and included cloud computing, big data, new energy, new high-speed rail and aviation materials, blockchain technology, and film and television production.
In 2018, the Changsha Economic Development Zone and Changsha County established a special team to work on blockchain and issued a “Policy for Supporting the Development of Blockchain Industry (Trial)”. It will encourage blockchain industry with platforms, innovations, finance, and talent.
At the forum, Zhang Pingwen, an academic with the Chinese Academy of Sciences and deputy dean of the Peking University’s School of Mathematical Sciences and, Chen Xiaohong, an academic with the Chinese Academy of Engineering and dean of Hunan Business School, along with other experts and related-enterprise representatives, discussed “how blockchain technology serves the real economy”.
