The 2017 L’Etape China by Le Tour De France – Wangcheng Stop kicked off in Changsha on Sept. 10.
Changsha cyclist Chen Kai won the 131-km whole course race championship, and was qualified for the 2018 Le Tour De France Challenge.
The Wangcheng Stop is the first race of Le Tour De France in China. It has three events: 50-km, 83-km, and 131-km races. A total of 3,900 Chinese cyclists participated.
The racing course connects the most famous ancient towns in Changsha, including Tongguan, Jinggang, Qiaokou, and Xinkang, and picturesque Heimifeng National Forest Park. During the race, even the amateurs can challenge professional climbing and closed track that always set in Le Tour De France.
