SEF Chairman Lin Join-sane Visits Hunan to Promote Bilateral Cooperation
"In Hunan, the number of Taiwan businessmen and their investment scale are constantly growing. Up to now, Hunan has attracted investment from more than 2000 Taiwan-funded enterprises, with 6 industrial parks and 1 farmer's innovation park established in such cites as Xiangtan, Hengyang, Chenzhou and Yueyang. It proves the great appeal of Hunan's investment environment." said Lin Join-sane, chairman of the Straits Exchange Foundation (SEF) during his tour in Hunan.
Lin paid a visit to the Yueyang Tower where he expressed his concern for the country by writing eight characters "Lou Cheng Qianqiu, Xin Nian Tianxia (The tower has been preserved for generations, so should be the concern about the mass)". He noted that to develop the cross-Strait relation, we should start by thinking about the interests of the people on both sides of the Strait. A win-win result could be achieved by enhancing bilateral cooperation and complementing each other's advantages.
Lin made Hunan as the first stop of his tour in mainland China and conducted inspection in Changsha, Zhuzhou and Yueyang to learn about the development of Taiwan-funded enterprises. He also exchanged ideas with Taiwan businessmen in Hunan and attended the inauguration ceremony of the Taiwan Businessmen Association of Yueyang. Hubei Province is scheduled to be his next stop.
