Xu Dazhe

Governor

Xu Dazhe, male, Han nationality, born in Sept., 1956, is a native of Liuyang City, Hunan Province and a researcher with a Master’s Degree in Engineering. He began to work in Dec., 1975 and joined the Communist Party of China (CPC) in Jan., 1982. He is now a member of the 18th CPC Central Committee, deputy secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee, governor of the People’s Government of Hunan Province, and secretary of its Party Group.

 

1975.12–1978.03, working as an educated youth in Jiangping production brigade, Hengbu commune, Yugan County, Jiangxi Province;

 

1978.03–1982.03, studying at Harbin Institute of Technology for the major of mechanical manufacturing;

1982.03–1984.12, finishing postgraduate study at Harbin Institute of Technology for the major of mechanical manufacturing;

1984.12–1988.12, working as a designer of Room No. 9 of the 15th Institute of the First Academy of Aerospace, former Ministry of Aerospace and Ministry of Aeronautics and Aerospace;

 

1988.12–1990.03, working as an engineering team leader of Room No. 5 of the 15th Institute of the First Academy of Aerospace, former Ministry of Aeronautics and Aerospace;

1990.03–1992.12, working as deputy director of Room No. 5 of the 15th Institute of the First Academy of Aerospace, former Ministry of Aeronautics and Aerospace;

1992.12–1993.09, working as director of Room No. 5 of the 15th Institute of the First Academy of Aerospace, former China Aerospace Industry Corporation and Ministry of Aeronautics and Aerospace;

 

1993.09–1994.04, working as deputy head of the 15th Institute of the First Academy of Aerospace, former China Aerospace Industry Corporation;

1997.07–1999.05, working as vice dean and general technologist of the First Academy of Aerospace, former China Aerospace Industry Corporation (from 1998. 03–1998. 07, studying at the 30th training class for municipal-department leaders at Party School of the CPC Central Committee);

 

1999.05–2000.01, working as vice dean and general technologist of the First Academy of Aerospace, China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation (CASC) and former China Aerospace Industry Corporation, and director of Factory 211; 

2000.01–2001.12, working as dean of the CASC First Academy of Aerospace, and deputy secretary of itsCPC Committee;

2001.12–2007.06, working as CASC vice general manager and member of its Party Group(from 2006. 03 – 2007. 01, studied at the 22nd one-year training class for young and middle aged cadres at Party School of the CPC Central Committee); 

2007.06–2013.04, working as general manager of China Aerospace Science & Industry Corporation (CASIC) and secretary of its Party Group (elected as academician of the International Academy of Sciences for Europe and Asia(IASEA) in 2008, and academician of the International Academy of Astronautics (IAA) in 2010); 

2013.04–2013.12, working as CASC president and secretary of its Party Group;

2013.12–2016.08, working as vice minister of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and deputy secretary of its Party Group, director of China National Space Administration, director of China Atomic Energy Authority, Chief of State Administration of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense and secretary of its Party Group, member of the Secrets Protection Committee of the CPC Central Committee (till January, 2014), member of National Defense Mobilization Committee (till September, 2014), and member of the Special Commission for Central Military Commission of the State Council (till March, 2014); 

2016.08–2016.09, working as deputy secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and secretary of its Party Group; 

2016.09–2016.12, working as deputy secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee, vice governor and acting governor of the People's Government of Hunan Province, and secretary of its Party Group; 

 

2016.12 - present, serving as deputy secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee, governor of the People's Government of Hunan Province, and secretary of its Party Group.


He is also a member of the 17th CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection, and a member of the 18th CPC Central Committee.
