Construction of First-stage Project of Xiangtan Hetang Port District

Introduction: Hetang Port District starts from No. 4 Xiangjiang Bridge and runs southward to Zhaoshan., where 4.06km of bank line can be built, and 1.495km bank line can be utilized. Taking Hetang Modern Comprehensive Logistics Park and surrounding large enterprises as the service targets, a comprehensive port district that focuses on containers, break-bulk cargoes and refined oil products, and also takes the collecting and distributing of tourism, passenger transport, mineral building materials into account will be built. It plans to occupy an area of 700 mu. Construct dock body, overwater service area of Xiangjiang River, port bonded area and other supporting facilities, so as to build a modern port logistics accumulation area.  

The first stage project occupies an area of 128.3mu (including 124.4 mu of land territory and 3.9 mu of river shoal). Plans are underway to build two 2000t-level multi-purpose berths.  

Policy support: the evaluation in nine aspects of the project shall be conducted, whereas the risk assessment of geological disaster, mine covering query, safety pre-assessment, flood control pre-assessment, and soil and water conservation report have been completed and submitted for approval; navigation conditions preparation has been completed and submitted; energy assessment and environment assessment have been completed and submitted; and the preliminary review of engineering feasibility has been finished.
